Meg manages the organization's public policy and research activities, and leads the organization's engagement on numerous issues impacting the region such as public education, transportation, environmental regulation, health care, fiscal policy, and higher education. Meg joined BRAC in 2006 after working as a consultant to the Louisiana governor's office and Louisiana Economic Development. Prior to those engagements, Meg was a senior policy analyst in the office of Governor M. J. "Mike" Foster Jr., where she was the lead staff person responsible for developing Louisiana: Vision 2020, the state's twenty year strategic plan for economic development. Originally from Baton Rouge, Meg obtained her undergraduate degree in English Literature at Loyola University in New Orleans where she was a presidential scholar, and received a master's degree in public policy from the College of William and Mary, where she was awarded the Thomas Jefferson Fellowship for Graduate Studies.
