As the Executive Director of Business Development for the Baton Rouge Area Chamber, Iain leads the business development group and has overall responsibility for business recruitment, retention and expansion of within the nine-parish region. Originally from Newcastle, England, Iain earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Hull, UK, with a B.A. in American Studies and Political Science. In 1998, Iain graduated from Iowa State University where he earned his Master's of Community and Regional Planning. Prior to joining the BRAC team, Iain served as Vice President at Grubb & Ellis and Trammell Crow companies. Previously, Economic Development Director at City of Glendale, Arizona and Business Development Director at City of Las Vegas, Nevada. Iain brings a unique blend of public and private sector economic development experience to the position. He has represented a number of Fortune 500 companies in site selection and real estate searches, as well as having contributed to the successful completion of a number of development projects worth over $1 billion.
