William Holman
President / CEO - General Health System
As President and CEO of General Health Systems in Baton Rouge, Bill has successfully reorganized the System, including winding down a System owned HMO, expanding hospital operations, and divesting non-performing entities.
Bill Holman has over 30 years of experience in the health care industry, beginning at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital in 1976. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Management from Northeastern University in Boston, MA, and a Masters in Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania.
Bill is a member of the Mid-City Redevelopment Alliance Board of Directors, the Health Service Administration Advisory Board, and has served the United Way as chairman of the healthcare division.
He is the recipient the Heroes in Healthcare Award and Oncology Nursing Society Award for Employer of the Year. General Health Systems has been named the Top Leadership Team in the Nation by HealthLeaders magazine.
