
FuturePAC Endorses Candidates for EBR Metro Council

BATON ROUGE, La. (August 21, 2008) - FuturePAC, the political action committee of the Baton Rouge Area Chamber (BRAC), announced today that it has endorsed thirteen candidates who are currently seeking positions on the East Baton Rouge Parish (EBR) Metro Council.
"This is an historic race for Baton Rouge given the large number of open seats," said Graham Thompson, Chairman of the FuturePAC Board of Directors. "It presents a rare opportunity for many new leaders to emerge simultaneously, who can then work together to move our region forward. These candidates have committed to fostering economic development and improving the business climate in Baton Rouge. FuturePAC is proud to support them."
FuturePAC's mission is to support issues and candidates at the state and local level that promote economic development in the Baton Rouge area and improve the competitiveness of the region and state. It also engages on top economic development issues that are placed on public ballot.
