Access to Credit: An analysis of credit climate for small businesses in the Capital Region
The culmination of a series of focus groups conducted in 2010, the analysis is BRAC’s response to the lack of data on a national and local level about small businesses, particularly surrounding credit access and the factors that may affect it. It gauges the views of the regional credit climate from the perspectives of small business owners, lenders, and regulators and to discuss various factors affecting access to credit in the Baton Rouge area's market.

In The True Effects of Comprehensive Coverage: Examining State Health Insurance Mandates, BRAC presents research that state health insurance mandates increase insurance costs for employers and employees and that each enactment of a mandate has the potential to ultimately price over 17,000 Louisianans out of health coverage. BRAC’s issue brief also advocates for a more robust mandate review law concept.
